As the Canadian economy prepares to face external headwinds in 2012 — including a sovereign debt crisis in Europe, an election year deadlock in the United States, and slowing growth in China — Bloomberg will convene policy makers, chief executive officers and influential leaders in banking and finance for the Bloomberg Canada Economic Summit on May 8, 2012.

The largest
annual ice hockey event in Asia, the Hockey 5’s is returning to
Hong Kong from 30 April – 5 May (Youth Divisions) and 8 – 12 May
(Adult Divisions) at the city’s largest and only international-sized ice rink, Mega Ice.
The 2012 Mega Ice Hockey 5’s will feature 88 teams
across two tournaments – Adult and Youth tournament – from 12
cities, including Canada, Beijing, Shanghai, Japan, Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and of course, Hong
Kong.

Nobody says job-hunting is easy, especially these days, but it may be toughest for international job applicants seeking positions in the U.S.
With local talent plentiful, many U.S. firms are looking to bypass the hassle (visas; paperwork) of bringing in candidates from overseas.
However, it might be a little less painful for international job seekers in Canada, after that country eased its visa restrictions in 2008 for internationals seeking to study and then work in the country.
