RBC Donates Over $260,000 To Flood Relief

After donating close to $240,000 to the Red Cross, Royal Bank has donated an additional $25,000 to High River organizations.

At the High River branch’s grand reopening ceremonies on November 29, RBC regional vice-president Tonya Currie announced additional donations of $15,000 to Rowan House, a local emergency shelter for women, and $10,000 to the Foothills division of the Salvation Army.

Funds were raised in part through a corporate program that made donations to flood-relief efforts to match volunteer hours contributed by RBC staff. The initiative encompassed 114 flood-related volunteer projects involving over 680 people and 5,600 volunteer hours.
