Art: “Beyond The Painting Screen” with New Gallery on Old Bailey from March 6 – April 5, 2012.

In the month of “International Women’s Day”, we cordially invited you to join our upcoming joint exhibition.

“We might have such a similar experience. Whenever we found no targets and no attractive episodes from our dull lives, we would foster a sense of empathy upon those neglected, marginalized but elegant substances….”

This is an exhibition brimming with beauty, sensuality and symbolism. These five female contemporary artists have been less visible than the “well known” male dominated industry and as well the emerging “new waves”. All these years they have been experiencing and signifying the “paradigm shift ” of art movement in Hong Kong art scene. For them, the components of happiness and freedom of creativities keeps them impervious as a significant group of HKSARS female local artist(s).

The represented artists demonstrate a great emphasis on stylistic explorations and conceptual breakthroughs. Such aesthetic pleasure is regarded as a correspondence to the prettiness of harmonious coexistence among earth, nature and individual’s surroundings. Most compositions are direct representation and/or imaginary, which is created to express a certain, personalized emotion or expression.
